Spotify, Apple music, Deezer, Tidal, Amazon music, Napster are all music marketing stores in each artist earn money from them through sales and number of streams their music is making. Well, it's actually very difficult to say you will earn $4 or $10 for 1000 streams on a particular music store. This is because, the amount an artist will make from his/her music is based on a few factors. I will talk about these factors later in this write up. spotify pays about $4.37 for 1000 streams on their platform. this means one could possibility make close to $0.00437 PER EACH STREAM. This value is an average but not the minimum amount you could earn. Therefore you could possibly earn more or less than that.

DEEZER 

$6.76 per 1000 streams and $0.00676 per each stream

From the list of stores and the amount the pay, one could tell that, some stores pay more than others. Now many artist might want their songs on the highest paying planforms to make more money with small number of views. well that is not a good of thinking. Most of the stores that pay high amounts to artist have high subscription fees as compared to the once that pay less. This means that most listeners use the once with less subscriptions and therefore artist can easily get streams on them. Therefore I think promoting your songs on spotify will be good that trying to promote it with a store who pay close $25 dollars per 1000 streams. it might months to get up to 1000 streams because of the few number of listeners on these planforms. 

FACTORS AFFECTING MUSIC PER STREAM RATE 

I have said earlier in this write up that, the amount an artist or record label will make per each stream depends on some factors. These factors are unstable and keep changing. Anyway the factors are listed and explained below 

1. country and location

An artist might earn more or less depends on the places in each most of his streams are coming from and the artist location in general. An Artist from the USA with most of his streams coming from the US would earn more than an Artist from Ghana with most of his streams from Ghana. This is due to the fact that, people in the US have high subscription fee rate which about $7-$9 per month compared to Ghana with $1-$2  subscriptions fees per month on spotify. 

2. Free account users vs subscribed accounts streams 

most music stores have free accounts and subscribers accounts. depending on whether your listeners are with free accounts or subscribed account can affect your stream income. Spotify pays about half of the amount a subscribed account listener to a free account listener on your music. Meaning if a subscribed account members plays your song and you earn $0.004 then if a free account member listened as well you will earn just about $0.002. 

basically these are the two main factors that affects our streaming income and how much one should be paid.
